Q: What are the benefits of creating an online account with PSFP?
A: Secure access to information in your chart: Problems, Medications, Allergies
and Directives as well as the ability to request appointments online and email your
clincal care team. Access to our upcoming feature releases... Rx renewal requests
Access to your lab reports View your statement and online bill pay
Q: What do I need to create an account?
A: A unique email address and your PSFP unique ID (only available by visiting the
clinic). We do not allow patient accounts to share email addresses, nor will we
provide your PSFP ID over the phone. We take patient confidentiality very seriously,
and we're sorry if this creates any inconvenience!
Q: Can I access my children's information?
A: Yes, up until age 13. All accounts are de-activated once the child turn 13 years
old. The account can be re-activated with a new password given only to the 13 year
old patient.
Q: How does online appointment scheduling work?
A: A secure message is sent directly to our scheduling staff, who process your request
within 24 hours. Our staff will send a confirmation back to you via secure email
or telephone, depending on the preference which is specified by the patient during
the online appointment request process. To ensure adequate time to allow this process
to complete, all appointment requests must be made at least 2 business days in advance.
Q: What is a 'secure message', how is it different from an email message?
A: Our secure messaging system uses a combination of email and an ssl secured web
site. An email notifying you of a secure message will land in your e-mail's inbox
containing a web link to the message stored on our secure site. Thus, no patient
information ever leaves our secure server, just notifications alerting the users
of new messages.
Q: How do I get my own email address?
A: There are many options for getting a free email address... First off, your ISP
(Net zero, Comcast, AOL, Verizon DSL etc...) will provide you with multiple email
addresses if needed. Otherwise, we would recommend the following options as great
free email services. It will take only a few minutes to create an account! http://www.gmail.com,
http://www.hotmail.com, http://mail.yahoo.com, http://mail.aol.com to name a few...
Q: Is my medical record secure?
A: Absolutely. Our online system utilizes a password protected site and 128 bit
SSL encryption to encrypt your session. You are the sole owner of your username
and password, no PSFP staff person will ever ask you for your login credentials.
Q: What is your Privacy Policy?
A: We take patient privacy very seriously. As such our system is compliant with
state and federal laws pertaining to patient privacy. Your account information including
name and email will never be sold or leased.
Q: If some of my health information is incorrect, what should I do?
A: Please use the online feedback form in the Patient Services section to submit
any corrections to your chart. Of course if you would prefer to call our office
to correct any inaccurate information that is just fine as well.
